Congratulations to our students who engaged in the Music Rocks Program and worked so hard on their group performances for the concert today. The concert was a wonderful celebration of years of association with Music Rocks and Dianella SC ESC. Next year , Dianella SC ESC will have the services of the Dianella Secondary College music teacher, Ms Erin Pooley, who will bring music to life at Dianella SCESC! On your behalf I welcome Erin , who has extensive experience in the WA music scene and is a WAPAA graduate. I am looking forward to Erin teaching our students next year and growing our signing choir.
Music Rocks will be available to students after school, at weekends and during holiday times at their rooms in Morley . Several students are already accessing Music Rocks after school hours and have incorporated this into their NDIS Plans. This has allowed them full access to Music Rocks professionals and resources, like the rehearsal rooms. I encourage parents/guardians to go to the Music Rocks website and see how their programs can provide support. Regards, Jacqueline Gellel Principal A Dianella SCESC student, Kyle Berlingeri, has won the Harry Butler award for Western Australian Native Species. He took the photo during his photography course completed at Westcoast ESC.
Well done Kyle! On behalf of the Parents /Guardians of students who recently attended camp I want to thank staff who were involved in the planning, paperwork and/or running of these camps . Due to staff dedication and professionalism students were able to access several activities in the Pinjarra or Rockingham areas.
Thanks also to our Bushranger partners who funded the majority of the camp activities and made these opportunities so affordable for our Dianella families. I am very grateful that the majority of students are appreciative of this opportunity and for parent/guardian support. As a staff we will review these camps and parent feedback to determine the viability of camps in 2021. Regards, Jacqueline Gellel Principal |
